The Project
The future Armenian House
Following the Embassy's departure, we have been working hard to plan the Armenian House of the future. This involves rebuilding Armenian house top to bottom and includes a vibrant and modern café on the ground floor (both for Armenians and the public at large), and state of art and fully accessible event, social, exhibition, meeting, and gathering spaces through the five floors of the building, as well as a new Library and roof terrace on the new top floor. All supported by a new ‘executive’ branch to the Charity that will run its operations and programming.
The guiding principles for the Armenian House of the future include being inclusive to all UK Armenians wherever they are from, a strong focus on younger generations, encouraging creativity and innovation, and being a base from which to promote Armenian culture.
